About the Hammer Miner DC02

The Hammer DC02 is a small, low-power Scrypt ASIC built for home solo mining of Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other Scrypt-based chains. It's explicitly a hobby device: one step up from a novelty stick miner, one step below a full Goldshell. The DC02 is aimed at miners who want exposure to LTC/DOGE merge-mining without running a loud, wall-melting box in their home — the kind of person who already has a 24/7 home server setup and wants to plug one more quiet thing into a free outlet.

At roughly 105 MH/s and 38 watts, the DC02 sits at the low end of modern Scrypt hardware — well below a Goldshell Mini-DOGE Pro or Mini-DOGE III, but also drawing a small fraction of the power. Efficiency works out to about 0.36 W/MH. On a typical home electricity rate of $0.12/kWh, the DC02 costs roughly $3.30 per month to run continuously. For a home miner, that's below the threshold where power cost is the dominant variable — which is exactly the point. The DC02 is built to be left alone indefinitely without needing to justify the utility line.

Because LTC and DOGE are merge-mined on the Scrypt algorithm, any hashrate pointed at a Litecoin pool typically earns both coins on blocks it finds — the DC02 is no exception. The live cross-coin ranking on the calculator prices that in, showing expected value across every Scrypt coin SoloOdds tracks in real time. At this hashrate tier, solo mining LTC is firmly in high-variance territory — you are not out-earning a modern Goldshell on raw probability — but lower-hashrate Scrypt chains and favorable difficulty windows can shift the picture meaningfully.

The DC02 is controlled over a simple web interface for pool configuration. Most home miners point it at a public Scrypt solo pool and supply an LTC (and optional DOGE) payout address. The device runs warm but is quiet enough to live on a desk. If you're already running a DC02 and want substantially more hashrate in the same Hammer lineup, the DC06 scales up to ~330 MH/s at ~105W. If you're actively deciding which Scrypt coin to point at from week to week, SoloOdds Pro sends alerts when the ranking shifts.
