Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SoloOdds website at soloodds.io, including the public calculator, authenticated dashboard, Discord bot, Telegram bot, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by the SoloOdds project team (“SoloOdds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

SoloOdds is a mining strategy information tool. It monitors cryptocurrency network difficulty, prices, and related conditions across solo-minable SHA-256 and Scrypt coins, and provides personalized coin rankings and alerts based on hardware profiles and electricity costs that you configure.

The Service includes a public calculator (available without an account), an authenticated dashboard with fleet management and alert configuration, Discord and Telegram bots for alert delivery and commands, and optional paid subscription tiers with additional features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. Account Registration and Security

You may create an account using Discord OAuth, Telegram Login, X (Twitter) OAuth, or email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the accounts and devices you use to access the Service. You agree to notify us promptly at support@soloodds.io if you believe your account has been compromised.

We do not store passwords. Authentication is handled entirely through OAuth providers and single-use magic link tokens.

You may link additional authentication providers (Discord, Telegram, X, email) to your account from the Settings page while logged in. Automatic account linking by email match is disabled for security reasons — each sign-in with a new provider creates a separate account unless you explicitly link it from an authenticated session.

4. Not Financial, Investment, or Tax Advice

This is important — please read it carefully.

SoloOdds provides informational calculations based on publicly available network data (difficulty, hashrate, block rewards, and market prices). The coin rankings, expected value estimates, probability calculations, switch recommendations, and alerts generated by the Service are mathematical outputs derived from this public data.

SoloOdds is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, or broker. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, or tax advice, and nothing in the Service should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or mine any particular cryptocurrency.

Mining decisions are made solely by you, at your own risk. Cryptocurrency values are volatile. Network difficulty, block rewards, and market prices can change rapidly and unpredictably. Past performance and historical data do not predict future results. You should consult a qualified financial or tax professional before making decisions based on information from the Service.

5. Not a Gambling Service

SoloOdds is a mining information and analytics tool. It is not a gambling platform, does not facilitate wagering, and does not accept or pay out bets. While solo mining is probabilistic in nature and the Service uses terms like “odds” and “probability” to describe block-finding likelihood, these terms describe mathematical calculations about network statistics — they do not represent gambling odds or gaming outcomes.

6. Accuracy of Data and Third-Party Sources

The Service relies on data from third-party sources, including CoinGecko (cryptocurrency prices), various blockchain explorers (difficulty, hashrate, block rewards), and pool APIs. We do not control these sources and cannot guarantee their accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability.

Data from third-party sources may be delayed, inaccurate, temporarily unavailable, or discontinued without notice. Calculations and rankings derived from this data inherit these limitations. Price data provided by CoinGecko is used under the terms of their API and is attributed accordingly.

SoloOdds makes reasonable efforts to poll data every 15 minutes and to detect stale or invalid data, but we do not warrant that the data displayed in the Service is current or error-free at any given moment.

7. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, availability, or performance. The Service runs on serverless infrastructure (Vercel) and depends on third-party services (Neon, Stripe, Discord, Telegram, CoinGecko, and others) that may experience outages or degraded performance outside our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including maintenance, feature changes, or business decisions. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice for significant changes or planned downtime, but this is not guaranteed.

Alert delivery depends on third-party platforms (Discord, Telegram, email providers). We cannot guarantee that alerts will be delivered promptly or at all. Discord and Telegram may revoke bot access, rate-limit message delivery, or experience outages that prevent alert delivery. You should not rely on SoloOdds alerts as your sole source of information for time-sensitive mining decisions.

8. Free and Pro Tiers

The Service offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier.

Free tier includes access to the public calculator, one device profile, weekly digest alerts, and basic coin rankings.

Pro tier ($6/month or $50/year, subject to change) includes unlimited device profiles, instant Discord/Telegram/email alerts, full coin rankings with switch recommendations, “what if?” simulation, alert history, custom thresholds, and configurable quiet hours and digest scheduling.

We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or tier structure with at least 30 days' advance notice to existing paid subscribers. Price changes do not affect the current billing period of existing subscriptions.

9. Payments and Billing

9.1 Card Payments (Stripe)

Card payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to the Pro tier via card, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless canceled. You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible from your dashboard) or by contacting support@soloodds.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

9.2 Bitcoin Payments (OpenNode)

Bitcoin payments are available for annual subscriptions only ($45/year). Bitcoin payments are processed by OpenNode and converted to fiat upon receipt. By paying with Bitcoin, you agree to OpenNode's Terms of Service. Bitcoin subscriptions do not auto-renew — you will receive a reminder before expiration and must manually renew.

9.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@soloodds.io within 14 days of a charge to request a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes fairly. Bitcoin payments are non-refundable after OpenNode's conversion to fiat, but we may offer account credit at our discretion.

9.4 Taxes

Prices displayed are exclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes imposed by your jurisdiction.

11. Intellectual Property

The SoloOdds name, logo, website design, and original content are the property of the SoloOdds project team or its licensors. The coin ranking methodology is published and not proprietary, but the specific implementation, presentation, and combination of features in the Service are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

The hardware database, coin data, and network statistics displayed in the Service are derived from publicly available sources and are not claimed as our proprietary data.

You may not use the SoloOdds name or branding in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our prior written consent.

12. Affiliate Links and Advertising

The Service may contain affiliate links to hardware retailers (such as Solo Satoshi, D-Central, and Altair Tech) and mining pools. We may earn commissions from purchases made through these links. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on each page where affiliate links appear and on our Affiliate Disclosure page, in compliance with FTC guidelines.

The public calculator may display advertisements from third-party ad networks. Pro subscribers do not see display ads.

The presence of affiliate links or advertisements does not constitute an endorsement of any product, retailer, or pool. Hardware and pool selection decisions are yours alone.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SoloOdds, its operators, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to SoloOdds in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoloOdds, its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Delaware is chosen as a neutral jurisdiction commonly used for internet services; it does not imply the operator's location.

15.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@soloodds.io and attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.

15.3 Jurisdiction

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted remotely. This avoids requiring either party to appear in a specific physical court.

15.4 Class Action Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, constitute the entire agreement between you and SoloOdds regarding your use of the Service, and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
